Public Health Care & Growth

About Us
Quality Care 4 U (QC4U) is a consulting firm founded by seasoned public health experts, health economists, epidemiologists, and behavioral change scientists with a shared commitment to strengthening health and organizational systems and improving population outcomes.

QC4U is a dynamic and growing SME that supports organisations, governments, and communities in building healthier, more resilient, and sustainable sectors. With over 20 years of collective experience across sectors, our team has managed and supported a wide range of public health programs at both national and subnational levels. For more than a decade, the company has specialised in health programme design, implementation support, and technical advisory services, partnering with both the public and private sectors.

QC4U is home to the MERLA Academy, our learning and capacity-building arm dedicated to strengthening Monitoring, Evaluation, Research, Learning, and Adaptation (MERLA) capabilities. Through the Academy, we equip professionals, organisations, and institutions with practical skills, tools, and leadership competencies to translate evidence into action, improve accountability, and drive measurable impact. Our work actively contributes to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by advancing quality care, equity, system strengthening, and evidence-informed decision-making.

Our Motto: Public Health Matters!

Where Observations, Learning, Data Use and Action Converge.

MERLA Annual Summits

The 1st Annual Summit, held on 14 May 2025 in Cape Town, marked the formal launch of the Academy and the commissioning of the first R2I cohort. Designed as a convening platform rather than a ceremonial event, the summit embodied the Academy’s core purpose: to cultivate leaders who translate frontline observation into rigorous evidence, and evidence into meaningful change in practice and policy.

R2I Fellowship & MERLA Academy

Aligning MERLA Academy and R2I Fellowship: MERLA Academy builds the skills to observe, generate, and use evidence, while the R2I Fellowship applies these skills to transform practice, policy, and public health impact.

Changing Non-Functional Systems

We apply Monitoring, Evaluation, Research, Learning, and Adaptation (MERLA) to turn everyday practice into usable evidence that informs better decisions, stronger leadership, and more effective systems. We help organisations move beyond reporting and compliance, using evidence to adapt non-functional programmes, reform ineffective management practices, and reshape policies so that learning leads to action and results improve across health, social, and organisational systems.

Strategic CSI Program Development and Monitoring

Driven by a moral commitment to foster positive social change, South African companies are evolving their Corporate Social Investment (CSI) efforts. The majority of their R11.8-billion corporate social investment (CSI) in 2023 was directed toward supporting non-profit organisations (Claire. 2024) To maximise the benefits of CSI to the businesses and the beneficiaries, QC4U helps companies to design strategic CSI projects, execute and monitor their impact. The firm ensures that the CSI investments benefit the deserving beneficiaries (communities), and also employees, and their families while supporting the company’s cost containment efforts- a Win Win Agenda.

Health&Community Systems Strengthening

We provide expert guidance and technical support to private companies and businesses in designing high-quality HIV and non-communicable disease (NCD) programmes that are responsive, evidence-driven, and sustainable. The service is anchored in supporting Corporate Social Investment (CSI) objectives and employee wellness standards, while promoting positive, equitable, and sustained health outcomes for private health care users. We work closely with clients to ensure alignment between business priorities, workforce wellbeing, and broader health system goals.

HIV and NCDs Technical Support

We offer expert guidance and support in designing high-quality HIV and non-communicable disease (NCD) programs for private companies and businesses. This program informs continuous evidence-based learning that is purposefully used to adapt program and policy decision making. It is founded on a desire to support the company's CSI and employee wellness standards and policies, as well as positive and sustained health outcomes for private health care users.

Faith Action for Integrated Public Health Ambassadorship program launch. FAIPHA is designed by public health specialists to strengthen faith leaders’ capacity to support disease prevention, promote accurate health information, and engage effectively with public health systems while remaining grounded in their spiritual mandate and leadership values. As communities increasingly look to the church for guidance during everyday health challenges and public health emergencies, FAIPHA provides practical, values-aligned tools to enhance the church’s role in safeguarding community-wide health and wellbeing and to strengthen faith leaders’ ability to support prevention and promote accurate health information. The event is led by HIV Survivors and Partners Network (a non-profit operating in Gauteng) in collaboration with Quality Care 4 U (MERLA Academy)

HIV knows no boundaries: This sermon is targeting newly weds, couples and people that are in a process of getting married, as well as singles. The goal is to raise awareness about HIV, and emphasise the fact that marriage and stable relationships are not a shield. The objective is to capacitate attendees about ways to deal with their status, ways to prevent HIV and disclosure support. It is also empirical that every person get into marriage knowing their potential partners HIV status.
